At North Durham Professional Counsellors, we provide psychological assessment and treatment services to adults, children and adolescents, couples and families in individual therapy, relationship therapy, family therapy, and/or group therapy. We can help with a number of mental health issues such as depression and/or anxiety, life transitions such as separation divorce or medical illness, and relationship issues.
Our services to children and adolescents also include concerns such as behavioral problems, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, learning/academic concerns, as well as parenting issues and psycho-educational assessments to identify learning strengths and needs. Moreover, we can offer group therapy services for ages 5-17 such as Social Skills Training and Anger Management.
Furthermore, we offer rehabilitation assessment and treatment for individuals who have been involved in a motor vehicle accident or have suffered a work-related injury in order to assist with coping more effectively with such traumatic events.
Our primary aim at North Durham Professional Counsellors is to provide confidential services to clients in a safe and supportive environment where they can discuss their issues and concerns with a mental health professional who will listen without judging them, and assist them to deal with and overcome life challenges.
Psychological assessment and treatment services are covered by most Extended Health Care Plans and Third Party Payers such as Workplace Safety Insurance Board and Auto Insurance Companies.
